HVAC FAQ

Which HVAC Filters Are Best For My Unit?

If you have an existing HVAC unit that you aren’t sure of the filter size of, a good rule of thumb is to take a look at your existing air filter. You’ll likely see the size of it printed right on the unit itself! You can also use measuring tape to measure the dimensions of the hole itself, rounding up to the next available size to get an appropriate measurement. If you aren’t sure what size is best for your unit, head over to our online store – we have over 300 unique filters in stock!

When Should I Repair My HVAC Unit Versus Replacing It?

The age of your home’s HVAC unit plays a big role in whether or not it’s worth it to make repairs. It usually takes around a decade for a unit to show signs of needing to be replaced, but there’s a simple formula you can use to determine whether to repair or replace your unit. Get an estimate for the cost of repairs (you can get them for free with us!) and multiply the cost by the age of your HVAC unit. If the total exceeds $5,000, it’s a better idea to replace the unit entirely!
